Paul is the primary analyst and author of Novo Insights CompTech Market Insight report, and is a sought-after speaker at compensation industry events like WorldatWork and local compensation associations. He lives in the suburbs of Chicago, and is known to make appearances on stage as a musician in the Salary History Ban(d).
Charlie Franklin is the Co-founder & CEO of Compa, a VC-backed startup with the mission to make compensation fair and competitive for everyone. Compa is compensation intelligence software for enterprise total rewards teams navigating era of pay transparency.
Charlie has over a decade HR experience, mostly focused in compensation. He started his career at Mercer, a leading global HR consulting firm, where he advised on compensation strategy for Fortune 500 companies in technology, financial services, life sciences, and energy. He subsequently led executive compensation and people strategy at Juniper Networks, and most recently led HR M&A and global mobility at Workday prior to founding Compa.
Charlie resides in Newport Beach, California, where he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters hiking, gardening, and bicycling by the ocean.
Joe Malandruccolo is the co-founder and CTO at Compa, a VC-backed startup on a mission to make compensation fair and competitive for everyone. With over a decade of experience in software engineering, Joe has built a career at the intersection of people and technical systems, having previously held key roles at Facebook and Merced. The latter is where Joe worked with fellow co-founder Charlie Franklin and the two developed a foundation in the world of compensation — and its need for a platform like Compa.
Now, Joe leads Compa’s software team dedicated to pushing the frontier of pay transparency and compensation market intelligence.
